When I was four years old, our large family moved to a five acre parcel of woods and rolling hills. My father wanted to make it a showplace, as well as provide plenty of room for us to grow. My mother surrounded the house with flowers and plants of all kinds. I spent many hours playing in and exploring our little corner of the world. My appreciation for the wonders of nature began back then and is in full bloom today.

In my images, I seek to capture what is often overlooked - a bird in flight, a cloudy sky, patterns on a piece of bark, or a moss-covered rock. There is no substitute for observing nature first-hand, yet many of us lack the time or inclination to explore for ourselves.
